I Manage more than twenty GIS projects across the US for resource conservation on federal lands. I am a major part of all steps in data management, from developing data collection methods with Survey 123, Field Maps, and ArcGIS Online (AGOL), QC data collection, migrating the data into the DoD database (SDSFIE) using ESRI ETL tools and producing maps, tables, and analysis for reports.

Serve as an assistant professor for the online GIS Certificate program. Develop curriculum, lead lectures, and assign and grade homework assignments for topics in spatial analysis, geoprocessing workflows, and cartography.

Serve as lead project manager and lead technical advisor for all active projects for Allpoints GIS. Keep active communication with clients, manage employees, assign work, and produce high-quality maps and reports. Develop curriculum and lead teaching classes in ESRI ArcGIS Pro, Field Data Capture, and ArcGIS Online. Conduct client GIS work, including data management and spatial and image analysis according to data quality specifications. Clients include federal agencies, local government, non-profit, and private entities. Develop and manage interactive visualization tools with Experience Builder and Dashboards for client engagement and public outreach. Develop custom geoprocessing tools using Model Builder, Python, and Arcade. Conduct spatial statistical analysis using ArcGIS Pro and R. Create custom Survey 123 and Field Maps surveys for use in the field by clients. Conduct various forms of classification with remote sensing data. Work in a fast-paced environment, having to balance multiple tasks, projects, and employees. Assist in technical proposal writing, status updates, and project reports, and help recognize opportunities in the market for sales and business development opportunities.

Monitored for ecological habitats and presences of species in accordance with protocols set by the BLM and USFW. Conducted habitat assessment and presence-absence surveys for rare and sensitive plants, White-Tailed Prairie Dogs, Mountain Plovers, Burrowing Owls, and Mexican Spotted Owls.

As a Zero Waste Conservation Associate I worked with members of the community to facilitate the reuse of home building materials.

Completed point transect calling surveys for Northern Spotted Owls (NSO) on BLM lands in Southern Oregon. Located NSO through mousing to determine nesting success and monitored for Barred Owl presence.

Completed point transect calling surveys for Northern Spotted Owls on BLM lands in Northwestern California. Surveyed deer and elk abundance though collection of scat in set grids. Conducted point counts for songbird and shorebird species identification and abundance. Monitored Snowy Plover nest and installed educational signs and fencing to redirect human traffic. Monitored Elephant Seals though tag identification. Collected samples from Baird’s Beaked whale carcass. Coordinated surveys for small mammal trapping and ear-tagged for capture/recapture in coastal dune habitat. Surveyed streams for sensitive fish species though snorkeling, eDNA, and electro-fishing.

Led a crew of 12 technicians on the Sierra Nevada Carnivore Monitoring Program. Collected data on fishers, martens, and other associated mammalian species through non-invasive survey methods including, track-plates, remote cameras, hair snares, and sample collection for isotopic analysis on diet composition. Duties included: trained technicians in field protocol and off-trail navigation, lead safety meetings, data proofed/compiled field datasheets into databases, conducted quality control checks on field stations, scheduled team group locations/driving routes, communicated with dispatch notifying of crew locations and safety updates, handled personality and housing conflicts, processed genetic samples for laboratory work, and inventoried and maintained supplies and equipment.

Conduct a population estimate though individual identification of bobcats; employ a new remote camera-based protocol in Headwaters Forest Reserve, CA. Supervisory duties include: training, scheduling, logistical planning, data proofing/processing, obtaining/maintaining equipment, quality control of fieldwork, adherence to protocols, and hiring/oversight of five student technicians. Planned and navigated routes using map, compass, GPS, and ArcGIS; hiked in arduous terrain and adverse conditions

Primary duties included point transect calling surveys for Northern Spotted Owls on BLM lands in North-Western California, deer abundance surveys though collection of deer scat, bird identification and abundance using point counts, and Snowy Plover transects. Located nest sites for Northern Spotted Owls through mousing and pursuing through dense vegetation and steep elevation. Determined success in breeding and monitored for Barred Owl presence near Spotted Owl nest.

Worked on the front end as a Cashier, Stocked merchandise and conducted customer service.

Conducted population surveys of gray wolves using radio telemetry, tracks and scats and howling. Collected data through trapping, darting and collaring wolves. Learned to safely operate ATVs.

Assisted a non-profit organization with organizing documents for an annual report to be presented at national benefit conference. In charge of photo and video editing, and managing newsletter using the programs Photoshop, MS Access, MS Publisher, and Apple Final Cut.

Took part in non-invasive inventorying of the fisher population within Headwaters Forest Reserve. Primary duties involved setting up and moderating hair collection stations and remote sensor cameras and collected fisher hair for genetic analysis.

Took part in a project investigating the use of artificial denning structures by forest carnivores and the effect of artificial denning structures on species’ occupancy of second-growth forests. Primary duties involved conducting track-plate surveys for forest carnivores. Identified all tracks collected, including ~15 mammalian species.

Assisted with the research of multiple animal species, using techniques including remote-sensing cameras, radio-collar tracking, game censuses, and data processing. Rehabilitated and released wildlife; duties included maintaining animal housing, monitoring, feeding, and capture and restraint of animals.

Duties included daily counts of animal populations, observing and identifying animal behaviors, and tracking multiple animal species, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, and rhinos through visual tracks on foot or from truck as well with radio telemetry. Assisting in the maintenance of the reserve including trail clearing and erosion control.

Assisted with animal husbandry duties.
