- Led design and implementation of stream-based “Trigger Marketing” platform. This platform has enabled Nordstrom to react to customer behavior on the site/app in near real time and reach out to customers with contextually appropriate marketing materials. The triggered emails sent using this platform have generated 10x the revenue of the static marketing email they have replaced.- Developed models using computer-vision and graph techniques to automate outfit creation for the Nordstrom Looks team, allowing the team to increase the presence of Looks on the Nordstrom website. These tools are also used to augment the outfit creation process of our curators to increase product exposure for sales and other high traffic events.- Led design and build out of “Closet” REST API that serves outfit recommendations based on a shopper’s past purchases. Collaborated with our mobile team to make service available through our iOS app.- Mentor junior engineers on enterprise grade software design and empowered them to start making immediate, meaningful contributions to the Nordstrom software stack

• Worked with the Thermal Performance Group to perform an analysis of a combined cycle unit in the APS fleet using empirical data from testing and thermodynamic models of the unit using MATLAB and Excel• Developed a new set of operating assumptions for the fleet by finding an ambient condition model that anticipated when the unit’s would be facing greatest demand.
