Designed a system for creating references to arbitrary regions of geometry in the 2d Drawings package that were stable across base geometry changes. Implemented the system along with another developer, filling a major gap in Onshape's 2d offering.Assumed a project begun by another developer to integrate JWT authentication into the Onshape product. Finalized authentication processing and provided administration controls for quickly invalidating issuers, if compromised.Consulted with teams that were using Onshape's data storage mechanisms to identify pain points in their workflows. Designed and implemented improvements to streamline those workflows and enhance the value of the Onshape data storage for all consumers.Mentored summer interns every year, familiarizing them with Onshape development practices and advising them on their projects. All interns were treated like full-time employees and completed projects that were in-use by customers before their internship ended.

Re-designed and -implemented a subsystem that was underperforming with the expanded use cases driven by the BOM feature. The new design cut request time by 50% and CPU load by 75% while accounting for all existing and predicted-future use cases.Implemented Bill of Materials (BOM) in Onshape. The Simultaneous BOM table allows engineers to collaboratively view and edit their BOM table in the context of the assembly, a key differentiator from competitors.Improved disambiguation of silhouettes in 2d Drawings, increasing the resiliency of geometric references and the types of referenceable geometry. Coordinated with a globally distributed team to identify and fix performance issues in the 2d Drawings package.
