I am an innovative software executive with over 30 years of experience in designing, creating, delivering and supporting software and services on various platforms and devices. I came up through the technical track of software development and have continued to grow in leadership and technology matters at every step of the way. I coined the term of Softwaregination (the art of imagination, creation and generation of software) a few years ago when trying to describe my philosophy to someone else and it really stuck with me. I'm considered unconventional by many but I tend to get great results in everything I touch. I've held senior software, architecture and IT leadership roles for the last 15+ years but still keep a solid foundation in secure software development patterns and practices as well as infrastructure and platforms. Simply stated : I can geek it out with the best of them.Starting in 2018, and every year since, I have led our corporate Hackathons where we bring teams together from across our organization to solve business problems in a fast paced short timeframe. I typically spend a lot of time in the planning, recruiting, execution, hosting and follow up for this annual event. One of our core values is Innovation and this event exemplifies that every year. I passed my C|EH - Certified Ethical Hacker in September 2018. I passed my (ISC)2 - Certified Information Systems Security Professional Exam and am CISSP certified since Feb 2017. Some of the technologies and methodologies that I use or am involved with regularly:Cloud Computing / AWS - Microsoft Azure IaaS & PaaS, Microsoft ASP.NET & MVC, C#, VB.Net, Microsoft Biztalk, Microsoft CRM/xRM, Office tools (Office 365, Google Apps/Mail, Visio, MS Project, Skype, OneNote, etc), SQL Server, MySQL, WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Fireworks & DreamWeaver, IIS Server, Web management and configuration, Team Foundation Server / Azure DevOps, Microsoft Test Manager, Agile, Scrum and DevSecOps. I try to keep up with technology by regularly taking courses on Udemy, listening to books on Audible and attending local meetups and hackathons. Latest technology trends that I’ve dabbled in are ChatGPT, Azure Ai Services and related services on the Microsoft Stack. I’m involved in a project to prove out how we can gain operational efficiencies by leveraging a combination of cognitive services and generative Ai technologies.
