Mike Kell is a 35 year veteran of the IT industry. He is a veteran of the US Army and is currently Director of US Army Strategic Programs for Silvus Technologies in support of the US Army tactical network efforts. He commanded a tactical signal company and a strategic signal battalion where he was the Director of Information Management for the US Army in Bavaria, Germany. He has led teams of over 500 personnel supporting 1.2 million subscribers globally with a budget of over $500 million.He is a strategic planner in IT Service Management, Cybersecurity, and application deployments. He is a solution architect adept at translating user requirements into hard technological requirements. Mike also has a long history of engineering complex multi-vendor networks. He was the Chief Engineer for US Central Command in 2003-2004 and was responsible for architecting and designing the transition of Coalition forces onto commercial capabilities in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was instrumental in developing organizational and systems architectures for the US Army formations in the mid-1990s as it transformed from circuit-based voice networks to mobile IP based networks. He has many years of supervising IT operations covering everything from small local networks to globally interconnected networks with a million subscribers. He was the director of operations for the US Government's rapid reaction IT Brigade from 2000 to 2003. He coordinated the support of 110 missions with packages including transmission; routing; voice, data, and video services; and facilities. Colonel Kell was assigned to Team Signal in support of the Task Force XXI Army Warfighting Experiment. Subsequently he held the positions of the Chief of Architecture and Special Assistant for Digitization. He was assigned to the Joint Communications Support Element as the J3/ Director of Operations after attending the Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. His next assignment was at US Central Command where he was assigned as the Chief of Integration and Engineering in the current operations division of the J6. He also served as the CENTCOM J6 Liaison Officer to CJTF-7 and Coalition Provisional Authority in Baghdad. Following his deployment he took command of the 69th Signal Battalion, Wurzburg, Germany.
