Profile bio

About Madison Kennedy

As a recent Master of Public Health graduate, I am deeply committed to promoting health and fostering positive change population health and healthcare. With a comprehensive background in research coordination, clinical support, and advocacy within sexual and reproductive health, I've cultivated a dynamic skill set to drive impactful change in health and wellness. During my research experience, I successfully executed multi-site, pan-Canadian research studies, requiring seamless collaboration between clinicians, researchers, and team members and diverse stakeholder engagement. I personally recruited patients and collected data for research studies, unveiling key insights into upstream determinants that often impact health outcomes. This led me to seek a Master of Public Health to deepen my knowledge pertaining to health promotion by applying the social determinants of health as well as principles of anti-racism, intersectionality, and community engagement. In parallel, my role as an Administrative Clerk within Alberta Health Services Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinics has enabled me to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care for youth and young adults, as well as individuals facing barriers to care in the community. The combination of my academic and research training, alongside my clinical experience, positions me to advocate for accessible and equitable health programming as I continue my public health career.
