My Role at Seaford Head Academy is to help with anything from basic issues to complex ones if the need arises in networking, software or hardware. Experience includes active directory use, configuration and on the occasion group policy testing. Office 365 sharing of documentation, changing user permissions and access rights such as email, assigning correct licencing, shared drive rights, sharepoint experience, teams etc. Remote machine management including software maintenance, granting/locking down access for staff as and where requested. Abtutor (remote monitoring software), securus (remote monitoring software), Smoothwall (basic knowledge), VLE support, database remote installation via solus deployment agent, restoring back-ups from virtual servers. Fault finding and physical repair of machines. Experience in print management including devices and software. Case handling for any service and support engineers booked for site visits, such as BT engaged, Sharp and HP engineers.

My role at Jarvis Technologies LTD was to help with all orders in Tech regarding configurations, this ranged from handling orders as large as a hundred and fifty units to be configured and system software prepped for departed within forty eight to seventy two hours to smaller units being dispatched the same or following day. Configurations varied from working on small laptop units adding/removing hardware, system software to working on server upgrades such as the HP proliant servers (DL380 GEN 9’s, ML310E GEN 8, Microserver GEN8) adding new CPU’s, Memory, HDD’s and making sure all system checks are complete and the systems running as they should be to customer requested specifications.

My role at the free school as a Technician is to run all of the IT equipment to classes (these are laptops and ipads in trollies), to maintain these devices be it software or hardware based problems, diognose and fault find any possible networking issues with staff or student accounts whilst liasing with the appropriate external company. liase with external companies that provide the network security and maintain the biometric systems (this includes printers and copiers) and finally when requested to help deploy and maintain new equipment to staff and on occasion pull equipment back and update security software parametres.
