- Manage team of 5 IT professionals responsible for HP's Data Center Facilities, Compute Services (Cloud, Servers, Storage, Backup, Middleware), Infrastructure Support, and Application Support for ~25,000 server instances and >1,000 applications- Participate in outsourcing vendor selection and negotiations for HP IT - Driving HP's transition from an in-sourced to outsourced IT operating model- Manage IT Service Catalog platform and content used by internal IT customers, business users and partners- Track consumption of contracted IT services with external vendors- Validate invoices received from external service providers- Design new and replacement IT services based on customer feedback, industry trends, and enterprise architectural recommendations- Measure SLA performance and health of the services purchased from external vendors

- Manage a team of 39 senior IT professionals with deep storage, backup, Linux, HPUX, Windows, middleware and web skills to deliver >2,500 requests for change (RFC’s) per month – including >6,000 technical work tasks per month.- Drove immediate critical security patching on >70,000 servers and >10,000 other devices to remediate “Heartbleed,” Bash “Shellshock,” and SSLv3 (POODLE) vulnerabilities.

- Senior team lead (among 6 overall participants) representing IT infrastructure who participated in a formal LEAN Methodology task force initiative.- Identified immediate opportunity to reduce “waste” and “non-core work” in the infrastructure team by ~16% with 26% savings identified within a year by shifting operating practices, implementing immediate improvements in some areas, and matching technical skill to work complexity.- Implemented an IT operating model focused on work-type and technical function versus the existing technology-based structure.

- Promoted to manage a team of 21 technical engineers responsible for building, decommissioning, and designing/implementing change requests (RFC’s) for over 32,000 Linux and HP-UX servers.- Supervised 1st-level manager with 5 Linux/HPUX server build team members.- Attained and maintained >95% patch compliance for Linux/HPUX (an increase by ~60%).- Drove cross-BU technology refresh project of a non-standard SAP environment to stabilize and protect a $12B ecosystem.- Decreased voluntary attrition from 25% to 11% per year.

- Drove more than a 500% increase in the server decommission process throughput in 8 weeks (from a prior record of 220 servers / month to greater than 1,400 servers / month).- Cleared backlog of 1,500 server decommission requests in 6 weeks; prior forecasts did not predict backlog completion until Oct 2010.- Eliminated $3M annualized operational cost of server decommission backlog in 6 weeks.

- Represent the Infrastructure IT (Information Technology) organization in governance, strategy and planning functions across IT.- Manage a team of 4 project management and technical resources.- Translate business requirements to technical infrastructure needs and manage the hardware demand for 3 HP business units.- Led transformation efforts to standardize, transform and/or consolidate 71 applications and services from over 400 legacy data centers to 6 next-generation data center environments and 42 regional compute spaces.- Managed submission, approval and remediation of 1,168 data center standards, security and exit exceptions (requiring up to CEO/CIO/CFO approval).- Represented and received approval on >400 "demand packages" for infrastructure hardware deployment including ~2750 servers plus SAN.- Program managed the architecture and deployment of 42+ regional compute spaces for IT's end-user services organization.

- Created Return on Investment (ROI) & Business Analysis Toolkit and Processes for HP Managed Services' Global Architecture Office for enterprise customer transformations.- Proposed >70 ROI's for customer transformation projects (calculating a total return of more than $600M) and developed a prioritized transformation project plan of record for a strategic global client.- Structured and documented HP's Enterprise Architecture (EA) Transformation Planning and Governance service offering.

- Developed Adaptive Service Usage (ASU) cost models for determining expenses related to configuring and delivering infrastructure components.- Structured and defined the standard ASU service offering for commercial customers.- Developed HP Managed Services (MS) standard service taxonomy, cost structure and billing units for ASU implementations.- Measured ROI for ASU development and deployment in HP MS Global Delivery.

- Defined the Worldwide Service Structure for HP Managed Web Services (MWS) hosting offering.- Developed business requirements and cost driver definition for web services portfolio for the worldwide Resource Cost Model tool.- Engaged in key customer wins for MWS service totaling >$7M.- Led cross-functional, cross-regional leadership team to drive development and innovation priorities for the Managed Web Services global portfolio.

- Developed and Managed Rare Medium's global alliance with Sun Microsystems generating 40 future Sun/Rare Medium joint engagements and approximately $1M in resources from Sun Microsystems. Total alliance value is approximately $40M.- Served as Interface and Primary Point of Escalation between Rare Medium and its Partners' Technical and Sales organizations.- Generated over 70 leads for Rare Medium's sales organization via channel partnerships and key alliance relationships.- Directed 12 executive breakfasts and seminars in the Southeast with Rare Medium and its partners.- Conducted marketing activities throughout the United States with Rare Medium's alliance partners.- Led Joint Sales Strategy Planning Sessions with Rare Medium's and its partners' sales organizations to identify and influence new and existing sales opportunities.

- Promoted into Contract Negotiations Manager title in December, 1998.- Managed 60 Global Enterprise client contracts totaling over $300M in annual revenue.- Negotiated 17 new Global Enterprise client contracts in 1999 and renegotiated 14 additional contracts with AT&T Enterprise customers. These contracts retained 98% of the existing revenue base while capturing $46M in new annual revenue.- Held VP-level pricing authority and offer management responsibility for the contracts within my revenue base.- Managed a team that built a contract database for the Sales Center in 3 weeks that has been adopted at the national level.

- Managed the Bass Hotels & Resorts Contract Tariff for AT&T. This contract was valued at over $30M per year. Additionally, serviced both Bass Hotel's Reservations organization ($9M annual) and Bristol Management, LP ($5.5M annual).- Closed and implemented over $2.0M (128% of objective) in new and winback sales in 1997.- Sold and installed over $3.2M (206% of objective) in new and acquisition revenue 1998.- Achieved 100% of 1998 annual objective by July.- Earned best sale in central region award for month of November, 1997.- Was promoted to Senior Sales level after 14 months with AT&T.
