Supporting the team meant responding to quote requests - quickly and efficiently, up-selling and adding value - and getting purchase orders ready for processing. Queries and issues of general or specific nature that came in on the phone or via email were something I dealt with on a daily basis - my strong knowledge of the products we sell meant I could perform this duty with the utmost professionalism and success. I grew this role to include chasing business and closing deals, developing strong working relationships with counterparts at the vendors and resellers with whom we work and generally added more value than the role initially supposed of me. Common experience of the college was a good starting point, but here I really strengthened my ability to connect with people very quickly over the phone.The campaign went on for a month annually, staffed by only around 40 students of the college and was in my opinion for a very good cause.
