I have over 14 years of experience in various equipment and facility maintenance, as well as critical care systems for animal care., where I developed versatile and valuable skills such as pool/spa/tank repairs, aquatic hatchery operations, and hotel and restaurant maintenance. I am passionate about environmental and marine science, and I enjoy working in settings that allow me to contribute to the conservation and enhancement of natural resources. I am currently looking for a new opportunity to apply my skills and expertise in a dynamic and innovative organization that shares my values and vision.Most recently, I was the Facility Maintenance Manager at The Cape Collection, a historic bed and breakfast style hotel chain that offers a unique and memorable experience to its guests. I oversaw the daily and long-term maintenance of five facilities, including a fine dining restaurant and an onsite event/venue area. I performed daily inspections, scheduled upkeep and preventive maintenance work, supervised maintenance technicians, and communicated professionally with hotel and restaurant patrons. I worked independently, but also collaborated with general managers and the lead director to ensure urgent matters were addressed and to develop future plans. I used my pool/spa repair skills to inspect and fix pool equipment, and I also built custom platforms to mount/house pool equipment. I used my scuba diving certification to perform underwater maintenance and cleaning of the pool and custom features.
