Design and numerical simulation of the cooling systems used in gas turbines: CFD analysis for calculation of heat loads, internal cooling networks, external film cooling, 0D to 3D and transient thermal analysis. Use of NX (Siemens) for preprocessing, ANSYS FEM solver and related postprocessing tools. Cooperation with suppliers and university researchers, postprocessing and numerical comparison of experimental results. I am author of three published papers based on performed activities. Other completed tasks include the qualification process of hot parts suppliers and a feasibility study for new blade’s cooling system.

Development of a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model in the ANSYS-Fluent environment suitable for simulations of natural convection and freezing experiments which are being carried out in the company’s Experimental Hall (SESAME-Stand facility) under the SESAME consortium framework. Between the outputs of the work, together with the computational model itself, are to be mentioned the benchmarking data and the Experimental Matrix composed of different working conditions to define the experimental campaign. I presented the article titled “CFD pre-test calculations for a freezing Lead experimental facility” resuming my job at the Nuclear Energy for New Europe (NENE) conference in Slovenia in September 2017.

Science Communicator along four different editions:2015 - I guided the audience along the Italian Ministry of Defence exhibit. The tour involved the technologies used by the different military service branches. 2014 - Italian Air Force exhibit, the guided tour dealt with devices and techniques used in weather forecasting. 2013 - FCA exhibit about low emission technologies in internal combustion engines and sustainable mobility.2012 - I worked at the Repower exhibit named "Homines energetici", which was focused on the innovations in the energy sector and their relations with the environment.
