I am currently the Team Lead of the La Luz ACT program based in San Diego, CA. Blending both my administrative and direct care skills sets, I primarily manage and supervise a multidisciplinary team consisting of mental health rehabilitation specialists, case managers, SUD and Peer Support counselors, employment and housing specialists, as well as nursing staff, to provide outpatient mental health services to high risk populations in the community experiencing SMIs (psychosis and mood-based disorders) and dual diagnoses. Working closely with the conservator’s office and San Diego County, partner and client relations are a significant factor of this role that require ongoing development and maintenance.While assuming my role as program manager, I am currently under LCSW supervision, attaining clinical hours for licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. This includes the highlight of my role, which is providing weekly therapy to our program's strengths-based members, developing therapeutic treatment plans, and practicing evidence based modalities (CBT, CBT for Psychosis, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Sex Therapy). Clinical screenings include the CSSRS, CAGE, and LOCUS scoring tools. Routine assessments include intake/enrollment, annual, and bi-annual completion.Additional corporate involvements include being a member of Telecare’s Diversity and Inclusion initiative (CHEI), facilitating the Party Planning Committee across 4 programs to promote internal morale and retention, and participating in focus groups.
