Good design is intelligence given a visual form.Ever wonder what the biggest inspiration to a designer is?Keep reading-I have worked for the last 4 years as a freelance graphic designer, I started taking an interest in adobe Photoshop and illustrator back in 2015 as a way to edit photos of my costumes in various Comicon’s.One thing led to another and photo editing skills translated into digital illustration skills which eventually led to design and branding which is what I did for most of my freelancing career.Besides freelancing I have also had many students as I tutored for A level art students teaching about color theory, composition, motion, creative concepts and visual design. In a was teaching experience is a very valuable skill for a designer besides creativity. A designer who has a lot of creativity but cannot communicate their thoughts properly or cannot comprehend what the client wants based on his words cannot translate the clients brief into a visual output.My experience in graphic design has been bitter sweet as all designers would claim, a job depends on various concepts but the most important one based on my experience is structured communication and realistic strategy.Besides Photoshop and illustrator I also have experience in creating video content in adobe premiere pro and animated info graphics in adobe after effects. In today world rich media content is vital for any effective and creative marketing strategy in the social medias.As an artist and designer brand development has always been a special interest of mine due to my line of study in marketing and international business. I hope to continue working in this field for the foreseeable future as the creative field is one our robotic friends are not taking over anytime soon 😊And no I didn’t forget , the biggest inspiration to a designer is the DEADLINE !
