Responsible for supervising a team of 5 Marketing Analysts and 1 Marketing Coordinator/Social Media Manager. Develops and executes the Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) Marketing Plan with the Marketing Analysts. Responsible for customer service for all 518 PaYS partners and 174,765 PaYS Soldiers. Serves as the marketing analyst for 42 corporate and public sector partners in California. Assumes marketing analyst duties to maintain these specific PaYS partners as required. Develops PaYS related training material and tutorials included on the armypays.com website and the United States Army Recruiting Command/United States Army Cadet Command intranet portal. Trains the marketing team on all required tasks.Responsible for maintaining accountability of all PaYS Soldiers. Develops and conducts briefings to targeted companies, agencies and Army Leadership.

Responsible for marketing, research, training and developing community relationships between civilian corporations and government agencies and the U. S. Army Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) Program; Marketer for the Northwest Region which includes 6 states. Duties include generating, prospecting, qualifying, nominating and processing new leads; training the assigned military personnel to present the program briefing and or traveling to location to present the briefing; track and update the processing of nominations using custom software; provide guidance in the contracting procedure( MOA); arrange the signing ceremony with the local recruiting officials and partner including media; assist the partner in forecasting positions for the RA, AR and Cadet positions; associate appropriate MOS to all positions; ensure correctness and completeness of all positions into custom software before linking positions to Army reservation system; monitor the loaded positions to ensure selection, and solicit additional forecasts from each partner when necessary; maintain contact with each partner to maintain program proficiency; link each partner with local community recruiting events; provide lifecycle assistance to partners and associated PaYS Soldiers.

Serves as a Security Assistant with technical functional authority for all security clearances required by specified Military Occupational Specialty (MOS). Is responsible for the acceptance, review, validation, approval or rejection of all Army, Army Reserve and National Guard applicants request for Secret and Top Secret clearance prepared and processed at the MEPS. Knowledge of MOS specific clearance requirements to ensure applicant is screened for proper level of clearance and eligible to continue to in-process. Interviews applicants and obtains information necessary to determine adequacy and completeness of investigative documents and ensures that clearance requests are supported by appropriate documentation. Based on extensive knowledge of rules and regulations and requirements of the position, makes the determination to accept or reject applicants for further processing. If necessary, consults with higher level specialist when determinations are not clear. If clearance is accepted, prepares documentation to obtain security clearance from the granting agency. Ensures all Soldiers are processed fully and accurately for any suitability investigations, eliminating any holdovers at the training base. Utilizes a variety of electronic methods for processing initial entry submissions to the appropriate investigative agency. Tracks and ensures that initial entry suitability and any higher scoped suitability investigations have been accepted by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to provide information for the determination of Soldiers to ship to Initial Active Duty Training (IADT) or to an assignment as scheduled. Prepares End of Month reports reflecting numbers of investigations processed and accepted by OPM and provides recommendations for corrective action or improvement in related process actions and procedures.

Senior Guidance Counselor Houston, TexasDuties: Supervises the Army Liaison Office consisting of six military and two civilians in a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS); responsible for enlisting over 225 newly soldiers monthly from 43 recruiting stations; liaison for commanders from 60 Army Reserve units covering all the units in Southeast Texas; reviews each applicant’s mental moral and physical qualifications to assure they meet recruiting standards; selects optimum MOS for enlistment based on the Army’s need and the applicant’s interests; initiates and process incentive contracts of up to $30,000 per qualified enlistee; responsible for equipment valued at $150,000 dollarsFirst Sergeant/Senior Human Resource Adviser Tyler, TexasDuties: Supervised 7 Regular Army USAREC branch offices (working with 3 MEP stations) that consisted of 33 employees and a fleet of 32 vehicles valued at 500,000 dollars spread over 14,064 square miles in East Texas located 212 miles from Houston Battalion Headquarters. Duties included marketing, applicant processing, enlistment procedures, leads management, accessioning procedures, reviewing efficiency and effectiveness of manpower data. Use of training resources, policy implementation, compliance of directives and regulations. Determines the effectiveness of morale and discipline, economy of operation, USAREC plans adequacy and law compliance. Maintains quantitative, statistical techniques and methods, analytical data for resource and training programs and initiatives for the improvement of organizational productivity. Prepared briefings and presentations of findings to commanders and civilian leadership at all levels. Efforts and guidance increase produced 8 percent in FY 01, 34% in FY 02, and maintained 100% mission accomplishment in FY 03. Selected as the Top First Sergeant for achieving 100% mission accomplishment for FY 03 in Houston District out of 6 Recruiting Company.
