In client project.Our client has many large datacenters across the globe, My team and me were responsible for datacenter operations. In an VMware environment i was handling the infrastructure of the company through remotely.Part of the team which was called SOC (Systems Operations Centre). it was RIMS setup.In a team which handled windows servers. Responsibilities included,Configuration and deployment of rack mounted server systems.Adding the network, telecom and servers to monitoring.Monitoring servers - rapidly and effectively diagnosing and solving outages or performance problems. utilizing tools such as Science Logic and AMPManaging patch testing, deployment and maintenance activitiesParticipating in the administration of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP across multiple offices and sitesAdministering VMware Esxi Servers and executing VM management tasks for both production and R&D environments.Participating in an on-call production technology support rotationCollaborate with other team members on data centre, for network outage, backup and disaster recovery efforts and strategies.Backup and Restores Performing Daily, weekly and monthly backups on the requested devices/servers.Configuring the policies for the backup.On demand restore for the requested databases/folders/files.Adhering to the SLA's defined on the backup and restores requests.
