Worked as Good Governance Advisor with GIZ, Participatory Local Governance Program. As Good Governance Advisor have following responsibilities:• Provide technical advice and assistance for the implementation of the activities under Output Indicator 3.2 of the Participatory Local Governance (PLG) of GIZ which aims to improve citizen participation in local governance• Provide technical advice and support to partners (i.e. Local Government and Community Development Department, Right to Information Commission, local governments, etc.) on inclusive decision-making processes at the local government level involving citizens, including women, youth and persons with disabilities• Provide advisory support and guidance to partners on the establishment of Women Facilitation Desks for women and vulnerable groups (e.g. for filing complaints) and the establishment of a network of women leaders, local councillors, women education officers and other key stakeholders (peer to peer learning)• Provide technical advice and support to partners (especially, Right to Information Commission and Right to Services Commission) to sensitize citizens on local government services and to facilitate complaint registration and processing• Support partners as well as civil society, academia, youths and media to build networks and build collaboration for identifying role of citizens in local government decision-making process• Take lead role in organizing interprovincial exchange, knowledge sharing and peer learning among provincial government authorities on inclusive governance involving women and youth• Prepare and contribute to the development of reports, updates and information materials

Worked as Technical Advisor Governance with GIZ, FATA Development Program. I have over 12 years of program and management experience in the areas of education, public finance, Public Health legislation and Local Government Institutions. I also have been working on projects that entail close working with communities especially at grass root level and up to policy makers at the top level. I have special expertise in engaging standing committees, elected representatives and district officials on transparency, voice and accountability, access to information, Local Government and Rule of Law. I have extensive experience of working on different projects and initiatives aimed at improving governance at the provincial and district levels. Within governance, my major focus has been on rule of law and effective management. Over the period of time I have developed considerable experience as a trainer and have been developing training modules and conducting trainings in the areas of governance, consumer protection, education, Public Health legislation, Local Government and rule of Law. I have strong communication skills and have been actively executing National and Provincial advocacy campaigns on Consumer Protection, Local Government, Public Health Legislation, Right to Information, Right to Education and reforms in legal frame work. I also have expertise in preparation and dissemination of user-friendly information material in the form of media briefs, policy papers brochures.

Worked as Advocacy Officer with Human Development Foundation (HDF) on project “Empowering young girls to become leaders of tomorrow”, funded by Oxfam Hong Kong (OHK) and implemented by Oxfam in Pakistan (OiP). The project was implemented in district Muzaffargarh in Punjab and District Tando Mohammad Khan in Sindh respectively.

UNWOMEN provided technical support to MOHR in the analysis of laws and legal frame work and drafting new bills as well as drafting amendments, particularly on Bills and Acts related to the public Sector Companies and Committees to ensure adequate representation of Women in their Boards, committees including the boards of Public Services Commissions in line with CEDAW and other treaties signed by Government of Pakistan.Following activities have been undertaken and completed.1. Mapping of existing Laws/Acts of Public Sector Companies2. Propose Amendments/Revisions or new provisions in the existing Laws of the Public Sector Companies from Gender Perspective for at least five legal frameworks.3. Draft Amendments in Max 5 existing laws/ new bills/ revisions in the existing Companies Laws/Acts4. Finalized the amendments after the incorporation of the comments/Feedback from the Ministry.

The project dealt with increasing Transparency and Accountability using Right to Information as an entry point. The thrust of the project was on health, education and governance sectors. The project had a national focus with multiple activities in all four provinces:• Day-to-day management of the project activities and carried out M&E of the project;• Meetings with public representatives, political parties and Standing Committee on Health and Education;• Creating and sustaining active engagement with various public departments in the project sectors for greater disclosure and transparency;• Developing training modules (Trainer’s Module, Trainees’ Module and Reference Material); • Maintaining close liaison with relevant government departments and CSOs working in health and education and governance sectors.
