I worked on several research projects related to connected vehicle, safety and mobility of pedestrian/bicycle funded by FDOT. Following are my research experiences from research projects and classes:• Performed traffic operational analysis of 7 signals using HCS software.• Designed traffic data collection from signalized intersection and mid-block crossing.• Analyzed pedestrian and bicycle crash data of last five years and presented in research report.• Analyzed travel time and speed data along arterial corridors.• Estimated trip generation model using SPSS.• Developed procedure for verification of control delay and stop rate of signals from VISSIM simulation output.• Performed travel time reliability analysis of freeways according to the HCM methodology.

Anchorage, Alaska Area

I worked as a graduate research assistant in the college of engineering at the University of Alaska Anchorage. As a research assistant, I assist conducting different transportation research projects funded by Alaska DOT&PF under the supervision of principal investigator of the projects, Dr. Osama Abaza. My current duties and responsibilities are as follows:• Analyzed Alaska state troopers' vehicle tracking data along with weather conditions in 5 rural highways in Alaska.• Processed raw data to be able to conduct statistical modeling using SQL and SSIS.• Estimated correlation between crash and trooper’s presence using SPSS software.• Developed safety performance function of rural highways incorporating police enforcement.• Explored spatial distribution of crashes and presence of troopers along rural highways.• Conducted parking survey to evaluate usage of studded tire in central Alaska region.• Observed video data to identify red light violations in Anchorage, Alaska.
