After retiring from 21 years of service in the US Coast Guard, I have found a new passion in the outdoors. I have begun learning for a new career in Wilderness Therapy. I have recently earned two associate degrees in Outdoor Education and Leadership from Colorado Mountain College and gone on to Western Colorado University to advance them to a bachelor's degree with plans to earn my Master of Social Work degree. All of this while performing volunteer work with High Country Veterans Adventures; building a strong veteran family in the Rocky Mountain towns of Colorado. I believe in the healing power of being in natural environments and want to share with veterans, I am on my trail to do so at the best of my ability.
