Mudit Mehrotra is a Director @ Standard Chartered Bank at Standard Chartered Bank. They possess expertise in financial modeling, credit risk, financial risk, business strategy, business analysis and 22 more skills. Colleagues describe them as "I have worked with Mudit for two and half years in two different organisations. I first met him in HSBC in 2009, when I was managing a risk model development team and Mudit had joined HSBC as a fresher after completing M.Tech from IIT Kanpur and for around six months he used to report to me. When I later moved to ANZ, I recruited him for my model validation team in 2012.
Mudit’s major strengths are his analytical and statistical knowledge, positive attitude, learning ability, detail-orientation, adaptability, collaboration and team-orientation. In comparison to peers, he is at par in terms of quantitative skills but rated higher because of his attitude, adaptability and collaboration.
His key strength is in his analytical ability and he has gradually built on this with experience in developing complex statistical models used for bank’s credit risk decision process and capital calculation. As a validator he has further honed this skill and got exposed to different domains and methodologies. He demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in different situations. He manages to handle multiple tasks which have little commonality between them. In ANZ he had to build up understanding of business knowledge and various modelling techniques in operational risk, economic capital, wholesale and retail credit risk models which are quite different from each other. Some of the tasks require lot of reading and research work while another requires extensive data handling and manipulation. He has proved that he can move from one style of working to another with ease.
Mudit has demonstrated ‘can do’ attitude and he takes on any responsibility that comes his way. In ANZ, I have assigned him tasks that nobody in the team had any experience of and there was no support available and he has always been able to prove himself.
Mudit has demonstrated eagerness to learn and contribute. He was able to pick up data manipulation skills as well as statistical modelling techniques in quick time. In ANZ he had been on a steep learning curve and has been exposed to domains of which he had no previous experience. In comparison to peers, he has shown interest in building up his business knowledge in addition to technical skills.
He is a team-player and highly engaged with the team. He not only collaborates for his projects but plays well in getting the work done but also involves in team development and knowledge sharing activities.
Mudit has leadership potential and has demonstrated initiatitive and learning capability. He can adapt to different situations and work with different types of people. He has always shown interest in building up business knowledge in addition to technical skills. Also he has always been a team person and involved in knowledge sharing activitivities and is always willing to support team endeavours. He has always stepped up to take higher responsibility when required and as his manager I feel that he is ready to move into management roles. " and "I come to know Mudit during my programme at IITK. He is a quick learner and utilize his skills to bring the best at whatever he do. I saw him planning his work very nicely and bring out solutions to the problems. He is a self initiator and also motivates others."
