I am working as an Assistant Professor at Institute of Plant Protection (Department of Entomology), MNS University of Agriculture, Multan since 2015. My responsibilities include teaching and research. Moreover, I have also served for three years as an Agricultural Officer in Department of Pest Warning & Quality Control of Pesticides. My area of research interest is related to crop pollination, pollination ecology & pollinator behavior. Currently, I am running a project worth $77000 entitled, “Enhanced Alfalfa Seed Production through Conservation of Native Insect Pollinators, Germplasm Development and Agronomic Management.”During my masters and doctoral degrees, I did work on different aspects of crop pollination & pollinator behavior in canola & cucurbits. I have reported potential native pollinators for canola, cucurbits, carrot, onion, strawberry, apple, sunflower, tomato, kachnar and berseem pollination. So far, I have published 38 international and national research papers on pollination ecology in well renowned journals. Every year, our research group organizes International Bee Conference at our university.I am also engaged in teaching and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students. Moreover, I have supervised 19 masters students on diverse aspects of pollination ecology i.e. drought stress and insect pollinators, heavy metals and insect pollinators, bumblebee pollination under hydroponic conditions, effect of fertilizer dose and insect pollinator behaviour, selenium accumulation and insect pollinators, screening plants for pollinator attraction and trap nests for solitary bee conservation. I have also worked on different crops including the pollination of canola, cucurbits, strawberries, sunflower, alfalfa, onion, mountain ebony, and tomato. I have also worked on bumble bee pollination in tomato grown in hydroponic facility. I have also co-supervised a Ph.D. student on alfalfa pollination. Moreover, I am currently supervising two Ph.D. students and four masters students.
