As the Human Resources Director, I am dedicated to the development and care of our team members. In my first 6 months in this role, I have worked with my Operator to create a Care program that involves a Corporate Chaplain, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and trainings for difficult situations such as cultural biases, increasing emotional intelligence, and practicing conflict resolution. I have worked to create a level of trust with my team where we are able to successfully coach to excellence and hold each other accountable on incredible levels. I also process time sheets and payroll for all 90+ employees, oversee financial information such as refunds, giveaways, and food cost discrepancies, monitor accrual plans, educate the team on labor laws and ensure compliance. I spend a good portion of my week recruiting, interviewing and hiring the best candidates for our culture to ensure a great team member experience for current and new employees.

Drove outside restaurant sales to near $800k within 2 years of accepting the Director role. Built and maintain a database of loyal Catering guests by actively engaging with businesses in our area through office visits, network marketing events, and other community opportunities. Create and manage promotional agendas annually- focusing on lower revenue timeframes to build awareness and drive sales. Developed a training program and built a team to go from a single person working this area to a solid Catering team of 10 individuals who all share common goals of revenue growth, customer relationships, and delivering with excellence. Promoting other areas of our business through Catering such as including a free breakfast item with every lunch or dinner meal purchased. Ensuring all guest business information is correct and stays up to date as well as all invoices are delivered and paid on time, discounts and tax ids are applied correctly and all other accounting is complete with precision.

As the Hospitality Director, my time was best spent caring for people. I split time between our team, our guests, and our community- serving them in whatever ways they needed in the moment. Teaching my team how to care for others has always been a passion of mine and it greatly attributes to solid company culture. Working with students and young adults on creating contact, sharing a smile and speaking with a friendly tone greatly improved our guest satisfaction. A call center respresentative booking air travel for guests by phone or online inquiry. Exceeded all sales goals during my tenure and was 2nd in my training class graduation. Dealing with customers booking travel for bereavement, vacation, or even struggling to get home due to cancelled flights gave me excellent practice in handling any situation that may come up. Keeping an optimistic outlook helps others see that they have options they may not have thought of, and to not give up.
