I work with stakeholders in product and on our executive team to provide insight around how customers engage with New Relic’s platform. Currently focused with our Infrastructure product group, answering questions around the different ways customers ingest data, and finding patterns in growth drivers. Other areas of focus are around user behavior: user lifecycle and upgrade patterns, user activity within product groups, A/B testing, and user funnels. A better understanding of these user interactions enables leadership teams to focus product on areas that will improve our platform and user experience; adding value for both users and internal teams.I work with PMs, software teams, and data engineers to instrument and access new data sources, and generate insights for OKR-level metrics to track success, partner and evaluate on new metrics as our business goals change, have rolled out some pretty rad self-serve analytics enablement for our PM group, and love to dig in on quick adhoc questions to keep teams moving.

I help out Product and Dev on a friend's app, digging into questions that help us better understand how users are interacting with Music League. I "work" with a distributed team, building and managing data models integrated with open source visualization software (dbt, Render, Lightdash) to help create self-serve dashboards for product and dev to track user activity, app / league trends, and general questions as they come up. This has not made me any better at Music League, for what that's worth

I analyzed product usage data, looking for patterns around new feature adoption rates and identifying optimal improvement opportunities for feature sets. I use SDLC data to improve my development teams' operational delivery. I use data to investigate error and testing failures in order to improve time-to-response metrics within team logging patterns, and forecast support needs within our Translations team products.

I worked with many organizations and engineering teams to coordinate communication for project and platform stakeholders. I managed dependencies and blockers for development teams within R&D, and facilitate day-to-day operations of my teams to continuously improve the speed of product delivery. I worked closely with executive and senior leadership, software support engineers, Workiva's customer-facing organization, dev teams, and product managers to prioritize and deliver work supporting the Workiva platform. I analyzed and interpreted logging and infrastructure data to identify data-driven areas of improvement for customer experience, development story/SDLC, and platform consumers. Outside of primary team commitments, I built tools to help the Delivery Management organization aggregate and interpret data to improve our ability to estimate delivery timing patterns and to understand the distribution of team capacity among different areas of work. Our insights into these patterns enabled our teams to more accurately manage workload and estimate planning capacity.

I contracted for a local research group that focused on eye-tracking and physiological data collection in commercial and defense applications. I used eye-tracking and driving simulator data to assess typical consumer behavior around new vehicles or vehicle-specific technologies. In that role, I provided assessments of driver performance while using handheld devices, to identify the impact of device configurations on driving behavior. Additionally, I cleaned and analyzed eye tracking data for driver evaluations comparing user interactions with different vehicles. Participants were evaluated while exploring a concept vehicle, then while driving that vehicle in a simulated driving environment.

I worked with MSU's Driving Simulator and Naturalistic Driving Fleet, writing and conducting data analysis for publications related to several different areas of driver safety research. Some specific projects and skills that I used include:• Developed event-driven driving scenarios with driving simulator and simulator related programs• Collected and analyzed human behavioral data from both a driving simulator and an instrumented vehicle driven on Bozeman roads• Performed statistical analysis on project data (R, SAS, SPSS)• Created data analytics describing driver performance-physiology relationship during periods of applied mental workload• Managed projects involving data collection and participation from EMS workers• Managed data collection and analysis of survey data from drivers in a case/control study involving defensive driving training for novice drivers• Designed and conducted visual data reduction protocols for ambulance video data, studying paramedic behavior during patient transports; examining different physiological and behavioral patterns to assess EMT safety in the rear patient cabin• Mentored undergraduate students with WTI projects involving simulator studies• Conducted WTI simulator tours and lead student learning groups• Completed literature reviews for projects and different publications• Collected human participant data for various projects in accordance with IRB methods and regulations

This internship focused on process improvement around the maintenance department practices of a civilian contractor maintaining and conducting wind tunnel studies for military and scientific aircraft.• Planned and facilitated kaizen events for Repairables process at Arnold AFB involving planning/scheduling, maintenance, and warehouse departments working closely with senior leaderhip to find improvement opportunities across several different departments• Created program and interface to reduce time required for repetitive data entry tasks• Analyzed and redesigned forms used throughout the facility’s maintenance program; the redesigned forms removed unnecessary fields to reduce the time required to complete the form, as well as reducing the number of pages required to print each form (which were often printed in duplicate, and additionally filled out at every daily/weekly preventative maintenance schedule)
