About Dr Jacqueline Mueller
Jacky is an award-winning sport management lecturer by day and a leadership consultant by night - an academic who has found her true passion in empowering students and professionals to become the best leader they can be. She is the module leader for Leadership, Diversity and change delivered at the Institute for Sport Business at Loughborough University London.Jacky designs and delivers executive leadership workshops for the German Football Association (DFB) and the European Handball Federation (EHF). She sits on the Board of the European Sport Management Association (EASM) and is the Social Sustainability Board Member of the EHF. She is an advisory board member for WaveMakers.io with a big passion to change how we conceptualise leadership in theory and practice. Jacky presented her research at leading sport management conferences (EASM, SMAANZ, NASSM, Play the Game) and published her work in the Journal for Sport Management, Sport Management Review, and Managing Sport and Leisure. She has further co-edited the second edition of "Research Methods for Sport Business" and collaborated on various book chapters with leading academics in the field.She has been awarded an UEFA Research Grant in 2024, and was the runner-up for the ESMQ New Researcher Award in 2023. In 2020 she received the Overall Impact Award in recognition of her academic achievements and was previously honoured with the Peer Support Award in 2017 and the Deans Award of Excellence in 2016. She has a strong passion for gender equality in sport and is a big handball enthusiast.
