A native New Yorker born and raised in SoHo, Mughen has been a firsthand witness to the immense transformation of New York City over the past few decades. As such he has acquired an unparalleled understanding of Downtown neighborhoods, which is where he focuses his business in areas like the Lower East Side, The Bowery, NoHo, NoLiTa and where he currently lives, the East Village. An adventure and lifestyle enthusiast, Mughen enjoys motorcycles, sailing, free-diving, Muay Thai kickboxing and world traveling. He has a special affinity for working with international clients, particularly from Germany and Brazil, where he has spent a great deal of time and maintains wide networks and a fluency in both languages. He is adept at connecting with a broad spectrum of people and particularly skilled at guiding international clients through all the details of investing in New York City real estate. Additionally, Mughen’s own experience as a real estate investor has equipped him to provide clients with personal insight and perspective on the NYC market and all of its particularities. Prior to joining TOWN, Mughen found great success as part of a SoHo commercial property investment group, as well as several smaller redesign and renovation rental projects including his own current apartment. He is adept at helping clients sift through rocks to find the hidden gem properties, and navigate all the details of analyzing properties, as well as the associated legal and tax matters. In addition, he has an in-depth knowledge of purchasing a second home both in the city and in the Hudson Valley area. Before joining the real estate industry, as the founder and CEO of an event production firm, Mughen planned more than 500 events and developed a broad proficiency base of business, marketing, negotiation and finance—skills that consistently prove invaluable to his buyers, sellers and renters.
