I develop and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) according to international codes. I ensure that welder certifications and repair records are maintained in compliance with client expectations and industry standards. I also establish welding instructions for production personnel, including material specifications, welding processes, and requirements for preheating and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) for critical joints.Additionally, I prepare detailed technical reports that summarize surveillance findings on fabrication issues and document problems. This documentation assists the project management team (PMT) in informed decision-making and risk mitigation.Furthermore, I coordinate and monitor the installation of equipment while overseeing piping fit-up, visual inspections, structural welding quality, coating inspections, and non-destructive testing. I document project data and develop a tracking data system in accordance with the Quality Control Plan.Core responsibilities:- Welding Inspection- Material Inspection - Process Validation- Non-Destructive Testing- Team CollaborationAchievements:- Delivered 10 projects successfully for clients such as: Petronas Gas Berhad, Idemitsu SM (Malaysia), Cosmo Scientex, Eastman and PRPC Refinery and Cracker (RAPID), maintaining < 5% defect rates.- Managed complicated asset renewal project for Petronas Gas where parts were either replaced, refurbished or fabricated as required by project schedule. Performed shift work on 24 hr basis to accelerate project delivery.- Successfully completed challenging project for Eastman & Flexsys to carry out engineering Study of defective work by previous contractor. Issue subsequently rectified with new electrical and mechanical equipment.- Took over as QC Lead without notice due to staff resignations in Activated Carbon Filter System Project and Air Fin Cooler Project in 2016 and delivered both projects successfully.
