-Worked as a laboratory team member during my industrial placement and developed an indulged experience of asphalt and aggregate products and their quality management through routine sampling and rigorous testing of different aggregate and asphalt finished products to assess product quality. -Actively operated the carbolite test furnace to evaluate binder content followed by the following activities to calculate sample data to confirm compliance with the relevant British/European Standards at the Cemex UK Materials Laboratory at their Salford Asphalt Plant. • Finished product inspection and examination to assess and verify visual appearance.• Temperature recording of the finished product to the relevant specification.• Routine sampling of finished product.• Sample preparation prior to analysis.• Operation of Carbolite test furnace to evaluate binder content.• Washing of aggregate for determination of filler content through a 63µm test sieve.• Particle Size Distribution of aggregates through relevant test sieves.• Calculate the data found to confirm compliance with the relevant British/European Standards.

Postgraduate Researcher, Rosalind Franklin Super Lab, Nottingham Trent University, 19/04/23-19/09/2023 Project: The expression analysis of microRNAs during skin development. • In this research project the expression analysis of microRNAs during skin development was performed. I have practiced various advanced molecular biology techniques and developed key lab expertise including cell culture, molecular cell engineering, RNA extractions and quantifications, RNA sequencing and its bioinformatics analysis followed by cDNA synthesis and its quantification through RT-qPCR.

My focus is to promote high-level industry-oriented applied research in biotechnology, Global Outreach and Collaborations were my major roles at Scienovative.

Project: Genomic and Functional Genomic Analysis of Coccolithophorids. • Volunteered as a research scholar in an NSF-funded “The Haptophyte Genome project” and practiced Ultra Purification procedures to extract Ultra-Pure DNA, and RNA Proteins for genomic analysis of coccolithophorids. • Calibrated and optimized instruments checked fluidics and electronics, and prepared samples. • Performed conserving growth cultures and maintained growth curves for genomic analysis.

• Selected as 1 of 100 scholars out of 30K+ applicants (3% acceptance rate) from all different academic backgrounds and got placed at California State University, San Marcos, USA under the auspices of the country’s most prestigious exchange studies opportunity, the Global Undergraduate Semester Exchange Program fully funded by the US Department of State. • Participated in different community outreach and academic activities as an Ambassador of Pakistan and the field of Biotechnology has developed key leadership and professional skills in me, and after completing the program, I became a part of a network of more than 2500 alumni from over 60 countries.
