Attend all necessary inspections as identified in the approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).Applicable tests for the raw material (fine and coarse aggregates,water, cement/admixtures) and finished product.Checking the temperature of freshly mixed concrete.Checking the slump of fresh concrete.Monitoring the concrete pouring work including air content test, slump test, and temperature of concrete, and ensuring that enough vibratos are used for concrete work. Marking or identification for the newly cast (melded) concrete cube specimens.Determination of water permeability for the concrete cube specimens. Inspection of Form and Reinforcement work for footings and foundation before concrete and giving clearance for concrete work.Monitoring and inspection of honeycomb rectification on concrete area before surface preparation.Inspection of surface preparation for the footings, pedestals, foundation, and retaining wall before the application of a waterproof bituminous coat. Inspection of waterproof bituminous coat applications on the foundation and giving clearance for backfilling. Inspection of tank foundations including ring wall foundation, anchor bolts, and backfilling with the approved materials. Location and evaluation inspection of equipment foundations which include anchor bolts and embedded plates.

Supervise all Site Quality Control activities and Report to QC Manager.Carry out field checks to confirm that the work is being performed by the Mandatory Saudi Aramco Engineering requirements (MSAER), latest IFC Drawings, and Project Specifications.Prepare daily, Weekly, and Monthly Inspection / Quality Reports and send them to the QC Manager.Review project specifications and drawings for proper Implementation.Preparation of ITPs and checklists as per project specifications and international construction standards for civil work activities.Coordination with engineering to solve design issues, like drawing modification, changes due to compliance with construction standards, raising technical queries, and engineering instructions.Responsible for preparing and submission of the work method statements as per project specifications and construction standards.Preparation of two two-week look ahead inspection schedulePreparation of Daily, weekly, and Monthly quality reports.

Reporting directly to the JICA VI Project Manager, the QA/QC Engineer is expected to perform the following duties and responsibilities:Prepare QA/QC plans for new construction and refurbishment work.Ensure the establishment of quality procedures including time limits for inspection, sampling, and testing of works and other QA/QC requirements.Oversee and manage quality assessment of materials through regular and rigid laboratory tests.Ensure specific quality standards are constantly met at all levels of construction projects.In consultation with the project staff, review technical specifications and recommend standard construction specifications for all items of work for their effective use in projects’ works.Review all standard test forms to be used during laboratory tests, QA testing schedules, and procedures and evaluate results as appropriate.Review contractor practices and conventional methodologies and make recommendations where remedial action is required.Work with project engineers and design consultants to establish procedures with time limits for the inspection, sampling, and testing of works and all other QA/QC requirements.Conduct initial survey queries on sources of materials, ensuring quality and quantity are of economic value to the project.Perform other duties as may be assigned.Demonstrated experience in pre-stressing works and quality control, and experience in different classes of concrete mix-design, under different conditions of construction procedures.
