Alongside studying Bar I started my career in real estate by joining CPIC as a Property Consultant. After initial training my role included advising private clients and businesses on investments mainly in Gwadar Pakistan which is Pakistan’s first tax-free city. I dealt with both residential and commercial properties in Gwadar. Working at CPIC enhanced my analytical, critical and problem-solving skills. Moreover, it helped me improve my objection handling skills as it was a client-facing role.

I held the office of one of the Directors/Trustees of Kent Union which is a charitable organization with a yearly turnover of around 13 million pounds making it one of the biggest Students’ Unions, with regards to revenue, in the UK. The role was very broad and required to perform a variety of activities with a high level of responsibility. Some of them included critically and analytically reviewing board papers for the board meetings, debating on key proposals before approving them, making decisions on various matters brought forward to the Board, being a member of two of the Board’s Committees, Finance and Risk Committee & Remuneration Committee, giving advice and support on different matters brought forward such as finance, approving budget and developing new strategies for the businesses. Working as a voluntary receptionist at Kent Law Clinic contributed greatly towards my studies as I got a chance to look at the actual cases and speak to clients directly. I also got the chance to attend three advice sessions in which solicitors or barristers offer advice to the clients on their cases. Some of my responsibilities included taking inquires through phone calls, preparing case sheets, entering data to keep records and referring clients to other services if required.

While serving as the captain of horse-riding team my leadership, managerial and organizational skills further got polished. I had to lead my team from the front at all the events, organize events and work as a team.

I was appointed as College Junior Under Officer in my final year where I was given the command of over seven hundred cadets. Some of my responsibilities were to make sure that discipline was observed by cadets especially in mess (a place where cadets dine); and to ensure their punctuality and smart turn out. I acted as a bridge between the cadets and the administration.
