File Management tasks include managing police files include complete attachment of documents and accurate data entry of criminal, accident and incident reports by creating, correlating, and/or updating occurrences and generating chronological events in the National Intelligence Application (NIA). Maintaining NIA transactions with analysis, and data entry of scene, statistic, vehicle, person, and then linking appropriately within each occurrence.Interpreting scanned documentation and determining how the police reports should be classified or filed. Classify information according to National Standards and Guidelines, such as, content and assignment. Retrieve DOCLOC e-files and records and disseminate to appropriate workgroups. Application of administrative knowledge and procedures such as word processing, managing files and records, electronic filing software, transcription (WinScribe), and managing SWIFT files.Understanding the criminal litigation process and providing quality application of constitution and statutes with access to Legislative Reference eQuery. Operate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, PeopleSoft, Share-Point, and the Police Intranet.
