As part of my work experience, I was involved in a road construction project in Serri-Darra Muzaffarabad. The project involved the construction, metalling, improvement, reconditioning, and blacktopping of a 15km hill road. In my role as a site engineer, I had a range of responsibilities that included monitoring all operations on the site, keeping complete records of the works, directing site inspectors, and ensuring that safety measures were in place to protect people and property in and around the site.Additionally, I assisted the project manager in the review of all submittals by the subcontractor and coordinated with all technical disciplines to ensure that the project was on track. I attended site technical coordination meetings and progress meetings with the client to monitor the progress against the approved program of performance.One of my main tasks was the preparation of progress reports and the processing of interim payment certificates by checking the quantities of works carried out. I also assisted with the assessment, verification, and approval of the "As-built" drawings and carried out the final inspection for certification of final completion and handing over of the works.In the project manager's absence, I acted on his behalf and assisted in accordance with the project's requirements. I extended maximum effort to avoid delays and cost overruns and reported any non-conformity to the project manager. At Neelum-Jehlum Consultan (NJC), I served as a Civil Engineer overseeing the construction of the Headrace single and Twin Tunnels on the Lot/C-1 Dam project. My primary responsibility was to monitor the contractor's work procedures, progress, and quality control measures to ensure that the project met the highest standards. supervising the excavation of the tunnels using the Drill and Blast method and managing all the support work, such as rock bolts, wire mesh, fibshotcrete, and lattice girder. Additionally, I supervised the concrete lining using various formwork methods along the 5KM length of the Headrace Twin Tunnels.I worked closely with the contractor to address any contractual, progress, quality, and monitoring issues that arose during the project. I produced a detailed Safety, Health, and Environment report for the tunnels and verified the IPCs to ensure that the project remained on schedule. Finally, I generated a Completion Report for the tunnels, which outlined the project's success and provided a comprehensive record of all the work completed. my role as a Civil Engineer involved closely supervising and monitoring the construction of the Headrace single and Twin Tunnels, ensuring that the project met the required standards. Through my efforts, I helped ensure the project's success, and I take pride in being part of such a critical and demanding project.
