My roles and responsibilities include:• Preparing group reporting instructions and questionnaires, coordinating with component auditors and reviewing their workpapers on group audit engagement• Reviewing workpapers of predecessor auditors in case of first year audit engagements; • Liaising with and developing good working relationships with the client to deliver engagement expectations; • Active involvement in budgeting and resource planning for assurance engagements and special assignments; • Training and coaching of associates with respect to audit procedures, Voyager, and GT audit methodology; • Preparing fee note requisition on a timely basis and follow up for collection of debtors; • Assigning and reviewing work of team members for medium and large sized clients including preparation / review of key engagement deliverables; • Upholding team leadership by keeping engagement manager / partner informed of the engagement progress and scheduling and completion of engagement manager / partner reviews of work performed; • Coordinating with third party professionals such as actuaries, independent valuators, lawyers and audit specialists (including IFRS team / information technology experts etc.); • Assisting clients in preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards, local regulations and directives of regulatory authorities; and • Discussing with client’s management the significant matters including recommendations to address the identified issues
