I am working at the Institute of Geology at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) since 2007, starting as a lecturer and eventually being promoted to Professor and Director of the Institute of Geology. Currently, I am working as a Professor at UAJK, Muzaffarabad, Pakistan. I have received my Ph.D. degree in the field of Engineering Geology from FAU, Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, with a focus on landslide hazard assessment. My current research mainly focused on different aspect of engineering geology such as Evaluation of building and dimension stone, earthquake-triggered landslides, landslide hazards management and risk assessment, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing. As a geoscientist, I have conducted research on natural hazards, particularly landslides, in the north western Himalayan region, Pakistan. I have collaborated with a diverse group of colleagues across the university from different institutions and countries on their research projects. I have received numerous awards and research grants. So far I have published more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in national and international reputed journals
