My key responsibilities as Supervisor includes: • Engagement planning based on the understanding of the client’s business processes and assessment of business and audit risks, supervision of the engagement, review and finalization, including close liaison with client's management; • Thorough knowledge of current auditing techniques;• Coordinating with various professionals such as lawyers, actuaries, independent valuators and information technology experts and decision-making in respect of critical reportable matters;• Assisting clients in preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework including compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local corporate laws and directives of regulatory authorities;• Providing ongoing assurance and advisory services to clients regarding compliance with corporate governance laws and regulatory requirements of Securities and Exchange Commission;• Evaluating internal control systems and risk management procedures, identifying weaknesses therein and making recommendations to management;• Understanding of risk-based auditing and risk and control strategies; and • Compliance with and understanding of regulatory requirements.SPECIAL NATURE INTERNAL AUDIT, EXTERNAL AUDIT AND OTHER ASSIGNMENTS1. Conducted First Annual Eligibility Assessment of 9 Tehsil Municipal Administrations (Provincial Sub-division) in Balochistan (TMA Package B) for the financial year 2007 – 08 – A project of World Bank.I was involved in performing the following:• Review of working to Tehsil Municipal Administration in accordance with the guidelines laid down by Baluchistan Local Government Ordinance and Guidelines provided by World Bank.• Finding deviations from the above and reporting to the World Bank team.• Making reports which included internal control and financial information weaknesses.
