As the Head of Claims Section at JVACEE, I manage the contractual and commercial aspects of the Julius Nyerere Hydropower Project, one of the largest in Africa. I have over 14 years of experience in legal, contracts, and claims management in the construction industry, and a strong background in construction law, arbitration, and adjudication. I hold a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), a Professional Diploma in Construction Law, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Project Management, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Construction Law, Arbitration, and Adjudication. I am also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration (MCIArb) and a certified leader by LinkedIn. My core competencies include identifying, preparing, submitting, negotiating, and settling claims to achieve optimum outcomes, as well as overseeing contracts administration, compliance, and closure. I excel at building trust and rapport with customers, contractors, and stakeholders, and resolving disputes effectively and amicably. I have produced successful claims for more than $500M, secured company's rights in several arbitration and litigation cases, saved extensions of time and costs, and spearheaded contractual and commercial aspects of projects.
