I represent clients in criminal, traffic, civil, and personal injury cases in state and federal courts throughout Northern Virginia. My criminal defense experience ranges from handling simple misdemeanor cases to complex felonies, including robbery, malicious wounding, bank fraud, computer crimes, and murder. My trial experience includes bench and jury trials in state and federal courts in criminal and civil cases. I also represent witnesses and targets of criminal investigations, including before grand juries.

Represented individuals facing criminal charges or investigations, as well as traffic infractions, in state and federal courts throughout Northern Virginia. Handled cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies, assisted witnesses served with grand jury or trial subpoenas, and guided clients facing ongoing criminal investigations.

Represented insurers in connection with coverage issues and litigation matters arising under professional and general liability policies; drafted memoranda and pleadings; and managed discovery production and review.

Managed criminal cases in the Arlington County General District Court, including negotiating plea agreements, interviewing witnesses, reviewing police reports, researching cases and statutes, responding to motions to suppress, writing memoranda on discrete legal issues, and helping attorneys prepare for trial. Handled several trials of misdemeanor offenses, including marijuana possession, driving on a suspended license, disorderly conduct, trespass, assault and battery, public intoxication, and using abusive language.

Conducted legal research and prepared memoranda on various legal issues, including the FCC’s net-neutrality rules, writs of mandamus, standing to bring a Section 1983 claim, damages for breach of take-or-pay contracts, recovery for stigma damages under a first-party insurance policy, and voting rights under the Equal Protection Clause.
