Currently, I am working as the Head of CFT Desk at Sindh Bank Limited. Here I oversee the compliance and risk management of the Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) Desk and Sanctions Screening Unit. Previously led CFT Desk as a Unit Lead at Telenor Microfinance Bank Limited, the one and only bank of Pakistan who received the In-Principle approval for digital banking license from the State Bank of Pakistan (regulator) in 2023. Directed Sanctions Screening Team as a Team Lead at Meezan Bank Limited, the first and largest Islamic bank in Pakistan.I have a master's degree in accounting and finance from Karachi University Business School (KUBS) and a bachelor's degree in Economics from University of Karachi. I have more than five years of experience in the Compliance Domain [Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) Desk, Transaction Monitoring Unit, AML Advisory, Quality Assurance].I am passionate about fighting financial crimes.My goal is to leverage my expertise and education to contribute in promoting financial inclusion.
