Current• Merchandising: Ensure that all the sections are well-maintained, clean, and organized. Monitor stock levels and replenish items as necessary.• Customer Service: Assist customers with their inquiries, helping them search for specific products and providing information on items. Offer recommendations and suggestions for selecting fresh produce. Address customer complaints and resolve any issues in a professional and helpful manner.• Quality Control: Inspect incoming shipments for freshness, quality, and damage. Remove or report any spoiled or damaged items. Follow safety and hygiene procedures to maintain the quality of the products.• Stock Management: Maintain an organized backroom storage area for products. Monitor inventory levels and request new shipments as needed. Keep track of expiration dates and remove expired items from the shelves.• Safety and Health Regulations: Adhere to health and safety regulations, particularly in the handling of food. Follow food safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and spoilage.• Administrative Tasks: Complete paperwork related to inventory management, waste control, and daily sales reports.• Maintenance: Keep the department presentable and dispose of the unwanted materials properly.
