Hi. My name is Muhammad Farooq. I am one of the most experienced energy efficiency advisor and trainer in Pakistan. Energy efficiency and sustainability are my passion. Equipped with comprehensive expertise, I know, how Energy Efficiency, as an integral part of business activities can foster reducing energy costs and curbing GHG emissions. My expertise extends across a spectrum of disciplines, where I have consistently demonstrated a profound commitment to driving positive change in the energy landscape, such as energy Auditing, energy efficiency, ISO 50001, GHG accounting, climate action, sustainability, life cycle analysis (LCA) & decarbonization.As a certified energy auditor (CEA, AEE-USA) and lead auditor ISO 50001, I possess a deep understanding of energy management principles. I have led many clients to achieve ISO 50001 certification. I have the privilege of conducting over 200 energy audits in diverse industrial market.I have provided my advisory services in the sectors of: textiles, automotive, foundry, sports goods, rubber, leather, food, metal, plastic, steel , paper, printing and packaging, chemical, commercial buildings etc. My ultimate goal is to identify opportunities within an organization's operations and equipment, energy distribution system optimization to enhance energy performance. These endeavors are aimed at yielding significant cost savings while reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.I have led numerous initiatives aimed at aligning organizational strategies with the objectives outlined by the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Ultimately, these endeavors contribute significantly to the overarching global ambition of achieving a net-zero future. Furthermore, my involvement in initiatives such as the Dialogue for Sustainability (DfS) and GIZ/PST (Supplier Decarbonization Program), underscores my expertise in sustainability efforts.I am actively engaged with many development organizations such as GIZ, UNIDO and UNDP,WWF, IFC, etc. I have developed many training programs aiming the capacity building of technical staff from different sectors especially from Textiles on energy efficiency in collaboration with GIZ.I took part in developing and delivering technical and vocational training (TEVET) in energy efficiency as well.
