I recently completed a three-month internship that concluded on June 30, 2021. My internship is with OUD Asset Management Sdn. Bhd.The duration of my internship was three months. My role is to provide assistance to the entire department, which includes Investment, Operations, Human Resources and Finance, Compliance, and Business Development. I was given the responsibility of concentrating mostly on operations and investments. In business development department, I assist on completing the "know your client" forms.In the operation, I assist with the preparation of daily valuation reports on a daily basis. My responsibilities also included assisting with the cash reconciliation process and completing the equities dealing book and money market dealing book for trades and placements that had been executed on that particular day. On the investing side, I assisted with daily commodity updates, which included the price of the commodities as well as some news about the commodities, which I then delivered to the fund managers. I also assisted with stock screening to see whether the stocks in which the fund managers were interested in investing were compliant with shariah law or not, as the company in which I am an intern is compliant with shariah law regarding investments.
