My Current role with Howden include but not limited to• Design innovative technical solutions within agreed timeframes that adhere to Howden standards and meet customer requirements.• Carry out necessary mechanical design calculations to enable initial required project information be generated for issue to customer for review.• Provide mechanical design engineering support to design draughtsman and other project team functional disciplines throughout detailed design project phase• Communicate any identified technical issues to appropriate project/functional manager and offer practical solutions where available.• Plan and organize own workload to ensure timely availability of purchasing/manufacturing data/drawings• Evaluate and provide impartial technical reviews of sub-vendor bids to assist procurement activity.• Actively participate in essential Design and Safety reviews to ensure fitness of purpose of Howden products including consideration for operability, reliability, maintainability, etc. Additionally use such reviews to identify potential improvements of product ideas, resources and design processes.• Ensure all work undertaken considers commercial and financial implications of task from a business perspective• Support CBS principles by optimizing efficiencies through reduction of costs and improvement of quality and delivery.

• Working as a trainee engineer in Mechanical execution department• 1st project include commissioning activities for compressor lube oil pipe lines and hydraulic pipe lines for burden feeders and slide gates• Commissioning and maintenance of 650hp swash plate type hydraulic pumps that produces 270 bar pressure.• Commissioning and maintenance of all burden feeders in the shaft furnace.• Installation of pipelines for the greasing of burden feeder shafts• Installation, commission and maintenance of pneumatic pump for greasing of burden feeder shafts. • Commissioning and maintenance of auxiliary lube oil circuits for process gas compressor (single stage centrifugal compressors), cooling gas compressor (Rotary lobe compressors).• Commissioning, maintenance and overhauling of hydraulic slide gates that controls the product flow in the furnace.• Conducting different modifications in piping and other equipment of the plant as per the requirement of commissioning activities.• During commissioning identification and rectification of leakages in the piping of the plant • During commission identification and rectification of leakages in furnace.• Overhauling and trouble shooting of different centrifugal pumps• Condition monitoring and vibration analysis of major rotary equipment of the plant.• Splicing and joining of conveyor belts.• Managing the complete shift in the plant after commissioning.
