As a Software Engineer at Staples, my responsibilities include the following: - Collaborate with a team of designers and developers to create a feature-rich application using React.js. - Develop reusable and modular React components to ensure code efficiency and maintainability. - Implement responsive design principles and optimized user interfaces for seamless user experience across devices. - Utilize state management solutions like Context API to handle complex application state and data flow. - Integrate RESTful APIs and back-end services to enable seamless communication between the front-end and back-end systems. - Conduct code reviews and participate in team meetings to identify and resolve technical challenges and improve overall project efficiency. - Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to conduct thorough testing and ensure high software quality standards. - Actively involved in troubleshooting and debugging issues to enhance performance and resolve functional defects. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy applications using Agile development methodologies.Tech Stack : Material UI, React JS & TypeScriptI had the opportunity to work on the development of a Content Management System (CMS) with the following specifications:- Implementation of user roles, including Director, Manager, and Employee, with distinct authorisations based on their roles.- Utilized AWS Cognito for user registration, verification, and login processes.- Employed AWS S3 for storing profile images and user documents, while the front end was built using React and Tailwind CSS.- Developed the back end using Node.js and Express.js.- Ensured application reliability and quality through testing with Jest.- Utilized AWS RDS (PostgreSQL) as the primary database.- Implemented Docker containers for efficient deployment.- Hosted the CMS on AWS EC2 instances for accessibility and scalability.
