I am a physiotherapist and PhD candidate specializing in obesity and diabetes, with over seven years of experience in research, clinical practice, and academia.Areas of Expertise:My research focuses on the complexities of obesity, particularly the biological mechanisms that explain why individuals with different weights and diseases (obesity & diabetes) have varied responses to treatments. It includes characterization of adipose tissue, quantification of immune profile of adipose tissue, and cross-talk between muscle cells and preadipocytes. Much of my work explores the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) gene and its influence on clinical outcomes in obesity.Skills:Throughout my career, I have developed expertise in several fields, including:• Neurorehabilitation (prototyping of walking patterns, wearable technologies, diagnostic and therapeutic approaches)• Molecular Medicine (SNP analysis, gene expression, flow cytometry, ELISA, and immunoassay) Achievements and Accomplishments:I have authored peer-reviewed publications in well-regarded journals and have been awarded numerous research grants and fellowships.
