The research work which I have produced, is widely accepted, and cited by national and international research communities. During the last five years, the major focus of my research remained on food security issues in developing countries especially in Pakistan. Achieving food security is an important goal due to its multifaceted nature that vary over time and across social groups, regions, and countries. My comparative research work on food security measurement is an important addition to the literature. It is practical and guides on food security measurement especially in Pakistan. Furthermore, I have proposed models to review and identify food security indicators. The review model resulted in a framework of food security indicators and the disaggregation model (Bashir-Schilizzi Model-2013) resulted in extra information that can improve policy framework. It can be replicated to any data sets. The results of these models are very practical for policy process. The Bashir-Schilizzi model was awarded best research paper of the year award by the HEC. I have also innovated a new approach to rank factors that can improve food security which resulted in an 'order of preferences' for policy makers that will lead to a relatively faster solution to food insecurity. In addition, I borrowed financial risk assessment method to measure food insecurity vulnerability which is an important innovation in food security research. My research has practical implications and potential to improve food security policies (policy makers), hence can help masses (society) to improve their livelihoods. Furthermore, the models can be replicated by researchers to further refine the research work (researchers / academics). My research work is recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and Pakistan Council for Science and Technology and International Community (Journals of repute from Elsevier, Springer, Taylor and Francis, Emerald, etc) who have selected me as a reviewer of several of their journals. My services are recognized by the International Community in the form of an award and certificates of outstanding reviewing.
