• Provide support to the Managing Director to lead all aspects of the ETHICORE Parliamentary and Governmental Affairs Practice Group’s activities, programs and services• Oversee the coordination of the ETHICORE Parliamentary Clusters, including overseeing, mentoring, liaison and working in collaboration with Parliamentary Cluster Coordinators• Provide parliamentary, legislative and governmental affairs liaison, monitoring, research and analytical services for ETHICORE’s clients• Write strategic reports, policy briefs, research papers, consultative documents and other relevant communication material on the engagements of Parliament’s National Assembly Committees, on the work of Departments and Ministries, particularly in as far as is relevant to the interests of ETHICORE’s clients• Act as the eyes, ears and representative of ETHICORE in Parliament and associated parliamentary, governmental and relevant stakeholder gatherings, interactions and engagements• Attend parliamentary committee meetings, governmental interactions, parliamentary and governmental briefings and relevant stakeholder interactions and dialogues, and report on these• Develop and maintain parliamentary, governmental and relevant stakeholder contacts, relations, databases and tools• Set-up and facilitate parliamentary and governmental contact, interviews, dialogues, engagement and information sharing sessions, including with members of parliament, political parties represented in parliament, parliamentary staff, government leaders, public servants and bureaucrats, political advisors and government departments.• Develop, maintain, manage, implement, monitor and evaluate parliamentary, governmental and political outreach, advocacy and lobbying activities and services for ETHICORE’s clients • Assist in managing, implementing, monitoring and servicing existing clientele• Assist in identifying, researching, engaging and offering services to potential and new clients

Checked references, compiled a bibliography and edited Arabic transliterations for Dr. Sa’diyya Shaikh’s book, "Spiritual Cartographies of Longing: Ibn ‘Arabi, Gender and Sexuality".

I traveled to various parts of South Africa conducting interviews with administrative staff at madrasahs (seminaries) for the NRF research project and Masters Thesis covering the historical development of South African madrasahs, entitled, "The Shifting World of South African Madrasahs, 1973-2008".

Lectured in a second-year Religious Studies course, "Religion and Society". The responsibilities included, selecting a material to be taught, lecturing four days a week, setting essay and examination questions as well as marking essay and examination scripts.
