In the capacity of Head of Department Social Sciences, I have to oversee the overall academic activities of the department. These include, decision of the courses to be offered in each semester, allocation of courses to both full-time and visiting faculty members, conducting department meetings on regular basis, examining the quality of evaluation in different courses, dealing with day to day issues of the students, monitoring the quality of theses submissions by the research students, moderating thesis defenses, performing supervisory duties in the exam weeks, among others.
