Joined Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) on November 16,1990 after undergoing a hectic selection process. Worked at APP Headquarters in Islamabad till February 22, 1991. From 23 February 1991 to 3 November 2007 worked at APP Lahore bureau. Remained posted as Station Manager APP at Multan and Faisalabad for some time. During my 17 years stint with APP, I had the opportunity of covering the visits of Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, Iranian President Mohammed Khatemi, British Crown Prince Prince Charles, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and many other dignitaries. Attended a three-week training workshop on Development Journalism at Tehran. On November 3, 2007 got pre-mature retirement from APP and joined the public sector organization TUSDEC as Head Media and Public Relations. However, on September 16, 2008,,joined Samaa TV as senior reporter/assisgnment editor. Since March 22, 2022 he is associated with Suno TV.
