Responsible for supporting maintenance, expansion, balancing & modernization activities of generating facilities by sourcing and providing expertise, materials/spare parts and services as per targets of specifications, timelines and budget.END TO END SUPPORT FOR MAINTENANCE OF POWER PLANTSK ELECTRIC is running 5 power generating stations as per following details:1) BQPS 1, 1260 MWProcurement supports user to line up both materials and services for planned and unplanned maintenance of 6 units of Hitachi and Ansaldo (capacity 210 MW each ).Rate running contracts are there for periodical maintenance services.GLTIP is also being implemented for generation capacity enhancement besides better reliability and safety.LTSA with Hitachi is also in pipeline to promote collaborative maintenance.Alternative sourcing of spare parts from obsolete parts warehouses is also part of the job.2) BQPS 2, 560 MW LTSA with GE for Turbines and critical equipment has been negotiated for 16 years. This comprehensive agreement includes availability of both parts and services for planned and unplanned maintenance as per agreed response time along with performance assurance.Mandatory spares are also identified with agreed minimum order quantity and reorder levels.Incentive and penalty both are there on a target performance which is exercised in quarterly invoicing. 3) 248 MW CCPP Korangi CreekThere had been LTSA with GE during warrantee period. Now GE services are acquired at agreed Field Services Rates for both trouble shooting and routine preventive maintenance as per outage plan.4 & 5) SGPTS & KTGTPS ( GEJB ENGINES with ST Capacity 90 MW )For these plants MSA has been signed with GEJB for 7 years with exit option without penaltyAgreed discount from list price with annual escalation governed by German index.90% of engine parts are in MSA ambit while remaining May be bought from market in competitive prices.

Responsible for maintenance of Dawlance plants and auxiliaries in Karachi & Hyderabad. These plants are operating in three shifts with capacity production targets and are possess certified Integrated Management System (religiously implemented after major fire incident). The scope of work included:- Planning & organizing preventive & shut down maintenance and taking up breakdown maintenance in an organized manners with resources available in house or out sourced such that the production targets are also achieved.- Implementation of Total Productive Maintenance strategy to facilitate maintenance management and achieve KPI targets.- Support project planning & implementation activities to make process more environment friendly like transformation from Freon to Cyclo Pentane in the foaming process. Operation & Maintenance of utilities as per agreed KPI.- Preparation and implementation of maintenance spare min./max. stock in order to ensure that maintenance spares are available at suitable inventory level taking care of their procurement lead time, cost, shelf life etc. & advise on sourcing.- Preparation of maintenance history of equipment knowing their energy efficiency, breakdown trend, maintenance cost and age to make rational repair/replace decisions abreast with the industry standards.- Spearheading the energy saving / conservation activities in the organization by benchmarking utility cost/unit and monitoring department wise energy consumption against given targets (average monthly energy bill Rs. 15 million).

Spearheading quality management system activities with due emphasis on SAFETY AT WORK.- Nominated Management Representative of Company for Development, Implementation and maintenance of Integrated Management Systems in the organization & audits of Organization by - Hyundai Global Manufacturing facilities audit team.- Coordinator of Kaizen activities in the plant for spearheading the process improvement efforts with respect to quality, safety, productivity &/or process economy, along with the Training & Development activities in the organization.
