I had worked as the area in charge (Electrical) of Cement Mills & Grid Station. Most of the important motors in the Cement mill area were Medium Voltage motors operating on 6.3Kv. There were mainly Slip ring induction motors. I had to go through their routine operational and maintenance related problems. Moreover as i had a training on PCS-7 Distributed Control System therefore i also managed the Control system problems regarding different Siemens PLC's such as S7-200, S7-300 & S7-400. Moreover i also worked on Engineering Station (ES) of DCS for necessary logic rectification of my assigned area as per process engineer's requirements.The Grid Station that i was dealing with in my workplace was a 132KV/6.3KV grid. There were three Power transformers, two of 25MVA and one of 40 MVA. They all were delta to star connected. I had to ensure different protections of the Medium Voltage feeders that feed power to different substations of the whole plant.

Had a training about the substation related electrical equipments. I got a chance to get the basic operational knowledge about frequency invertors, different starters of 3-Phase induction motor, for both squirrel cage and slip ring motors. Moreover i got a chance to spend some months of my training session on Distributed Control System (DCS) comprising of Simens S7-400 PLC's. I had to work on Process Control System-7 (PCS-7) supported by the software named SIMATIC MANAGER alongwith WinCc Explorer for designing HMI's for the different operators that operate their assigned areas of the plant.
