As Manager Digital Payments in the retail-banking sector, my primary responsibility was to oversee all banking transactions and payments. This involved developing and implementing new and improved ways for customers to make payments across various channels such as ATMs, Cash Deposit Machines, Internet, mobile, SMS, POS, and other innovative mechanisms and alliances.In addition to this, I also managed and built the debit/prepaid card business while converting traditional banking transactions to more cost-effective distribution channels. One of my major accomplishments was leading the Expansion' project for bank this involved deploying several hundred ATMs and CDMs in prime locations across the country to reduce customer interaction costs and acquire new-to-bank customers in the untapped segment C of the market.The strategy behind this project was to organically grow the bank's size by three to four times within three to five years by offering low-value current accounts in a single sales interaction with limited branch access. As the project head, I was responsible for changing the bank's distribution mix from branch-heavy to more technologically advanced channels.
