A Chartered Mechanical Engineer with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and more than 10 years of experience in medical devices.Over the past 7 years in medtech industry, I have built a strong foundation in product development and project management. My work has led to a CE-marked medical device, a licensed medico-cosmetic device and 5 patent applications (3 Granted & 2 Pending), Prior to setting foot in industry, I was a post-doctoral research assistant at the University of Dundee for 3 years working on a multi-institutional collaborative project. During my time in academia, I supervised both PhD and MSc level students. My research has resulted in 10 publications in reputable journals and conferences.In addition to my industry and academic experience, I am a peer reviewer for Ultrasonics, a scientific journal published by Elsevier and I hold an Honorary Lecturer position at the University of Dundee. I am dedicated to staying current in my field and actively participate in conferences and workshops. I am also a passionate STEM ambassador, promoting the importance of science and engineering to the next generation. I am proud to be a member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). I serve as a professional review interviewer for IMechE.
